Hey there, I'm really happy you stopped by. I wrote a lengthy essay with paragraphs and everything, on why I decided to create this blog. I thought I'd spare you and torture you with my doodles instead. Check out my picture version of my seven page essay here. If you want the even shorter version, keep reading.

In a nutshell, I've been on a three year journey to helping my family become heart healthy. So far, the results have been amazing, lowered cholesterol, lowered blood sugar levels and unexpected weight loss. More importantly, I did it without using highly processed, reduced-fat products. I kept flavour by picking wholesome ingredients, introducing new flavours and seasonings, changing cooking methods and eating more often!

This blog is a collection of recipes that I've put together using ingredients that will help fight the bad fat clogging up your arteries and normalize your blood sugar levels. Keep in mind, I'm not a dietician, doctor, nutrionist or an electrician. I just did a lot of research and it worked for my family. That's all.
